Memory Problems

sleepThey say that memory problems can be cured

By scheduling and plenty of sleep

But wouldn’t you think just the reverse?

Slumber is forgotten

As soon as the egg pan is drained and washed

What’s to remember?

Last night I saw a Jellybean-fish Shaped like a hotdog.

Really?

Last night I had a conversation, last night I danced,

She smiled at me

I was awake.

I don’t recall her name

Or her birthday

Maybe I need more sleep

That could aid my memory

But then only dark

A black screen

No memories.

Unless dark counts…

In my slumber I remember dark
